Popped in today after walking past multiple times and always saying we should pop in. We were greeted very politely and the service was very good. Even better my coffee and our breakfasts were very tasty. The cafe is very clean and well presented. I’m so happy we tried it out and will certainly be back soon.
Came here twice for lunch and both occasions came away full and satisfied. The Eggs Benedict were the best we’ve ever tasted and I also tried the Chicken Letcho which was delicious. Food is carefully prepared and served piping hot. The interior is wonderfully quirky and the service by Csaba was attentive and impeccable. See if you can guess the famous hungarians on the wall and you may get a prize! Loved it and will come again if we venture to this part of the world! Well done guys!
Travelled down to st Helens to view properties. Located this venue prior. It looked amazing and had excellent reviews. You will not be disappointed. Advised to book, it's quite understandably very popular. The service, food and coffee were impeccable. Most definitely recommended if you're in the area.

Visited in July 2023. We came to Hastings for a long weekend. On our last day, we were looking for a highly rated Brunch spot local to our accommodation. We came across Cookhouse Cafe, it was fairly quiet when we arrived. We promptly greeted and sat to our seats. The decor is very eclectic, full of framed artwork and prints. The cafe was very clean, tidy and welcoming. The menu is very good, with a great range of options, some with a Hungarian twist. We opted for Eggs Benedict - one with Bacon and the other with Mushrooms. Both incredibly delicious, the Hungarian paprika used was a great touch. The juices were freshly squeezed. After we ate, we managed to speak to the owners, who were very interesting, spoke about Food, Google Reviews, London and Budapest life. Highly recommended. If you’re in Hastings, I definitely recommend you check out this brunch spot. The brunch had everything we were craving. They also had a huge menu for milkshakes - we went for the snickers milkshake and it tasted so delicious! The staff were super friendly and to top it all off, they had cool and quirky decorations, which we loved!
